Drug and Alcohol Services

Drug and alcohol use can create problems in your family life, work situation, financial stability, physical health and emotional health. We offer services for youth and adults who are experiencing problems with alcohol or drug use (both illegal and prescription drugs). Family members who are affected by the drug and alcohol use can also access services.

We offer services without judgement based on your goals and we tailor your services to your needs. We also provide drug and alcohol assessments to help you understand your addiction. These assessments can be useful to help you access treatment centres throughout the province.

Children and Youth

Counselling is available for children of any age at our office.  We provide off-site brief services to youth to select schools in North Bay, West Nipissing, and Mattawa.  Family counselling is also available for the youth and parents.

Adult Services

Adults can expect to receive services, including professional recommendations, support and counselling for substance use and related issues, referrals to residential treatment facilities in Ontario, group counselling for relapse prevention, and referrals to other community resources, if needed.

Family Members

It is difficult coping with a family member who is struggling with problem substance use.  Family members are eligible to receive one on one counselling or group sessions to provide the tools and strategies to learn to cope with the substance use and family dynamics.

Native Services

An Addiction Counsellor trained in Aboriginal/First Nations/Metis cultural-specific practices is available.

Problem Gambling Treatment Services
